Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Are we processing at our own facility or is it rented space?
We do not own the buildings; we lease multiple buildings.
Are there any requirements for handling flammable materials, local fire codes, state etc. that have been addressed or need to be addressed?
No, although we are committed to our community and frequently interface with our fire marshal. Sometimes on a weekly basis.
What do they normally do there, and do they have any permits or letters of authorization for that operation?
The leased buildings are dedicated to our recycling processes. EcoWise is authorized by our city to conduct our commercial commodity recycling business.
What is their process?
We recycle approximately 98% of everything we receive at our facility. Starting with the stretch film, packaging, and contents.
Do we depack and put into a shredder?
We utilize several technologies for our process. They range from automated box opening, depackaging, separating, screening / filtering, and shredding
Do we have a fire suppression system?
Yes, our goal is to meet or exceed all safety concerns. One example is the addition of thermal sensors for temperature.
Once the material is processed what happens to the liquid/gel mix?
Our outbound materials are shipped to parties using our material as a raw material or intermediate. Our objective is reuse of our products.
Are our products going to an anaerobic digester?

Yes, our bottles are recycled. We also recycle other commodities such as various types of containers, packing, cellophane, metal, aluminum etc.

We do recycle items other than those identified in the previous questions. Our outlet for materials that historically may have been shipped to waste to energy facilities are shipped to cement kilns. This recycling technology utilizes the material as an alternate fuel to coal.

Yes. We utilize Parallel Products.
